Thus, a problematic situation was created. The average ELA class is designed to analyze written works, not screened productions. At this point, the teacher is starting at a significant disadvantage because they are competing for the attention of a student against devices and stories designed to do just that by the very best minds in our society. This affects students motivation to pay attention in class. Who wants to learn about the literature of the past using the technology of the past? This is due to the fact that both the method of delivery and the material are of no significant relevance to the daily life of todays student.
How can we change that? Simply by creating a goal setting worksheet. This is essentially a worksheet that outlines the goal and how its going to be achieved. What we should be doing in order to be achieving the goal and on what days those things should be completed. On the worksheet you can also include reminders of things that will detract you from accomplishing your goal. This wouldnt be you of course, but lets say you want to increase the presence of you and your businesses online brand. The goal could be 30 minutes daily on social media updates from seven-thirty to eight PM. The little reminder could be ONLY ten minutes on Facebook!
Next, you need to have a set of goals to work towards. There is no point is starting a budget worksheet unless you have a goal that you are striving to achieve. Without a goal sheet, any extra money you do save from your budget worksheet will have no real purpose and will be far easier to spend. Having a written set of goals helps to keep you on track.
